Building Consents
The building consent process can be a barrier for many home owners. We can navigate the property owner through the many changing consent processes, supplying all the required documentation and plans to be used for building consent submission to council, tendering and construction.
Resource Consents
As people are wanting to maximise their property value they may need to apply for resource consent. CVD Homes can take the stress out of the resource consent process and prepare and lodge your applications, so that your project can progress as quickly as possible.
The Basic Process
Step 1: Initial consultation & pre-design analysis
Call us to arrange an onsite, no obligation free consultation, where we collect information about the site and you requirement for the buildings involved.
Step 2: Concept design
Based on the brief and pre-design information we will provide you with original concept designs for discussion.
Step 3: Resource consent documentation
When required, a set of drawings showing any breaches of the district plan is produced. We write a report on the effects on the environment due to the breaches and prepare the application for submission.
Step 4: Development
When the concept design and resource consent (if required) is approved, the intial concept design will be developed into the final plans. This is then sent to the other consultants (eg. engineers and truss manufacturers) for their design and input as required to complete the building consent documentation.
Step 5: Building consent documentation
Final documentation for building consent is prepared, which incorporates all the required information for council submission.
